I used to ride my own bicycle and by the evening I was worn out. With the Bali I fit more orders into a shift, and the battery lasts until the end. I pay the rent once a week, so I know exactly what to expect.
I went for the e-bike because it’s so easy to ride. Two bags fit on the rack, and I really appreciate the heated grips in the mornings.
I ride in the rain a lot, so the roof was an easy choice. I stay dry behind the windshield, and the box takes bigger orders too. When something needed fixing, I got a replacement bike for the time being.
I picked the scooter in blue so I never mix it up with the others in the car park. Even a big grocery order fits in the box, and with weekly rent it’s easy to work out what I keep.
You don’t need a licence to ride the Kucher Courier e-bike. For the Kucher Bali e-scooters, including the roof version, you need an AM licence. When you rent, though, you always show your driving licence.
Czech citizens: your ID card and driving licence – even if you’re taking the e-bike. Foreign nationals: your passport, visa and driving licence.
The e-bike costs CZK 1,199 a week without SWAP or CZK 1,399 with SWAP, with a CZK 3,000 deposit. The e-scooter costs CZK 1,799 without SWAP or CZK 2,149 with SWAP, with a CZK 5,000 deposit. The version with windshield and roof costs CZK 2,299 or CZK 2,599, with a CZK 5,000 deposit. Prices include VAT, and the deposit is the same for both plans.
With SWAP you don’t charge a flat battery – you swap it for a charged one at a SWAP Box in under a minute. We’re launching the SWAP network in Prague right now. Without SWAP you charge the battery with the charger you get with the bike.
